Space Race
It started in October 1957 with a beeping metal ball less than two feet across, and it ended in July 1975 with an American crew and a Soviet crew shaking hands in orbit. In between came dogs and a chimp, test pilots and a parachutist, a spacewalk that nearly went wrong, and twelve men on the Moon. The Soviets won most of the early firsts and the Americans won the big one, and these games cover both sides of it.
